There is a saying ‘Where there is a will, there is a way..’ 16 year old Shabana Mokashi from Bicholim is a live example of this.

Despite immense difficulties she has fared well with flying colours. Shabana who wants to be a doctor scored 92.7% marks in the recently held SSC examination.

Shabana Mokashi is daughter of Lalsab Mokashi who works as a daily wage worker in Bicholim Market.

Her mother Amina works as a domestic help in a couple of houses. In a family of 5 members with two more siblings Shabana’s family faces financial crunch day in and day out but that didn’t affect the will power of Shabana.

She has indeed made her family proud and set an example for all the underprivileged children.
