Agricultural centre to come up on idle govt land

A nearly 2 lakh sq mts agricultural land acquired by the government way back at Durga Chinchinim in 1965 is lying idle, which is a criminal waste of resources.
On Saturday Agriculture minister, Vijay Sardesai inspected the land along with local MLA Filipe Neri Rodrigues.
The rooms constructed for the staff are on the verge of collapsing.
Vijai promised to make it a centre for floriculture or organic farming.
Filipe Neri said that land was good for agriculture as there was a water source in the adjacent land.
