Tragedy at Nageshi: 3 kids drown in the temple lake

The deceased from Mangaluru were on a temple visits in Goa with their parents.

They reached  Nageshi temple late in the evening. While the parents were inside the temple, the children apparently went to the temple lake.

Police said that the 12-year old girl appears to have slipped and fallen in the water.

The two boys, one aged 7 and another 8, jumped in and tried to rescue her, but none of them knew how to swim.

Some locals brought out the bodies and they were rushed to ID hospital at Ponda. But were declared dead on arrival.
