Speaking on mobile causes bus accident, injures passengers & pedestrian

A private passenger bus lost control, hit a compound wall and overturned simply because the owner-cum-driver was speaking on a mobile phone. Eight passengers got injured including one lady standing on the road.

Three of them with head injuries including the driver.

It was Cuncolim to Curchorem bus which was carrying total 18 passengers met with this accident at Akamol on Monday morning.

The bus lost control, dashed against a compound wall and overturned.

The owner-cum-driver speaking on his mobile phone also had a serious head injury besides a lady who was standing near the compound wall and another passenger.

All three were rushed to Hospicio hospital in Madgao while other five having minor injuries were treated at Balli hospital.
