Police bandobast in Margao should remain continue: Margaoits

They say this bandobast should continue in future and should not be a mere piece of show.

If it was done earlier the crimes in Margao would have been under control. Also they have demanded to repair non-functional CCTV cameras.

The gruesome murder of goldsmith Swapnil Walke had sent chills not only in Margao but in entire Goa.

It has triggered panic wave among the traders in Margao, especially the jewelers. All were up in arms questioning about their safety.

Recently, DGP met traders and jewelers from Margao on the issue. He promised them to deploy armed police force in Margao round a clock.

As per his assurance armed police were deployed on Sunday.

Margao traders have also demanded with police to act on homeless people dwelling on footpaths and infront of shops as they feel threatened from them.
