05 Sep 2018 07:26 PM

Hospicio hospital in Margao has only one ambulance.

No proper facilities and not enough staff.

Till date it is still the premier hospital in South Goa.

But due to lack of facilities, it has to transfer critical patients to Goa medical college, Bambolim.

But now this lack of ambulance services at Hospicio has resulted in the delay in transferring a patient from Hospicio to GMC.

Parents of the child blame the lack of facilities for her death. Here’s more.

Staff at Hospicio admit that they don’t have sufficient staff or proper infrastructure.

Now matters have once again come to a head as on Wednesday 9 years old child Pavel Pereira from Mandoppa,  Navelim died due to delay in shifting her from Hospicio to GMC.

She was being treated for cancer.

And the parents are furious with the hospital.

The Doctors on Duty and Hospicio Hospital Superintendent admit their difficulties.

They spoke to Goa 365 on the issue
