Even though Cyclone Vayu did not make landfall in Goa, it brought wind, rain and rising water levels.

Trees were uprooted, with some falling on vehicles.

Electricity was disrupted for hours in many parts of the state.

There was widespread water logging and water rose on the coastal belt.

Agassaim-Cortalim stretch of the National Highway 17 saw a massive traffic jam because of water logging due to the heavy showers.

The Goan coast from Vengurla to Vasco will see 2.5 – 3.6 meters high waves on June 12 till 11.30 in the night of June 13.

The cyclone is then likely to move nearly northwards and cross Gujarat coast between Porbandar and Diu around west of Veraval as a Very Severe Cyclonic Storm with wind speed of 145-155 kmph that could go up to 170 kmph around the morning of the 13th of June.
