Couple from Pune dies after car falls in river at Arpora

 The police rushed to site after they were tipped-off.

However, the couple lost their lives before cops could reach the spot. The police have conducted the inquest.  

The incident took place on late Sunday night. Deceased Subham Bhedge and Ishwari Deshpande were leaving towards Anjuna from Arpora in their car MH 12 RT 7766.

When it reached near Baga-Arpora road it went off the road and plunged into the river. Both died on the spot.

Police have recovered their mobile phone.

Local said the road is very narrow and motorists do not get judgment of road as huge weed has grown on both side of road.  The road should be widened before another mishap takes place here.
