Bicholim KTC bus stand slab collapses, lady seriously injured

A woman was seriously injured in Bicholim after portion of concrete slab fell on her at KTC bus stand.

She is currently undergoing treatment at Asilo District hospital in Mapusa.

35-year-old pregnant woman from Uttar Pradesh  Rekhadevi  was waiting for her usual bus to arrive with her relative.

Just when a portion of the slab of Bicholim bus stand came crushing down on her, injuring her right leg.

She was quickly rushed to the district hospital in Mapusa.

Locals and passengers blame the authorities.

Despite several complaints about the structure quality nothing was done.

Goa365 in touch with local MLA Rajesh Patnekar and questioned him over who should take the blame for risking a life. 

Well, with no answers he has promised access to new Bicholim Bus stand soon.
