Keep taxi business for sons of soil, taxi drivers demand

They say that this is a way to get in outside taxi drivers and put them on the Goa Miles app.

Taxi drivers with Local MLA Churchill Alemao in tow, spoke to press on the issue with Churchill demanding that domicile certificate be made compulsory for a taxi permit.

Goan taxis have come under heavy criticism after complaints of overcharging.

Till date no meters have been fixed on these taxis too.

The Goa government had launched Goa Miles taxi after complaints from tourists.
