Baina locals urge tourism minister to give more focus to Baina, help boost tourism

While almost every beach in north Goa is seen bustling with tourists, many beaches in the southern part of the state seem to be left ignored. Baina beach which sits right at the edge of Vasco has tremendous tourism potential, say locals but has no infrastructure developed yet.

Locals from Baina say that they have been pushing hard to get tourism boosted on the beach especially since it is right near the airport and railway station. While the beach has been fairly developed, no changing rooms or proper toilets seem to exist on the beach, say locals. While a few shacks are present, many say that more focus has to be given to the beach allowing more shacks and more competition to develop on the beach.
