Babu’s ‘Owl’ promotes his Club in Carnival parade

Are rules of Carnival equal for all? Or there are more equals than others. This impression was created right on the first day of the Carnival floats in Panaji. No commercial floats were allowed. Tourism minister Babu Azgaonkar had even threatened police action against such commercial floats. And there was a float of Owl Club. Owned by Babu Azgaonkar’s son. Promoting his commercial dance club as well as the commercial carnival dance organized at the Club on Saturday night.

Watch this float. Right in the front is the name of the Owl Club. And the girls dancing on the vehicle.

There are posters all around the vehicle, promoting its commercial venture.

And watch this poster. Inviting people for the Carnival dance on Saturday night.

It’s not free. You have to pay for it.

We tried contacting Babu Azgaonkar to get his comments. But we didn’t succeed.

To ask him one simple question? Will he take police action for this sole commercial float?
