I-league shapes players, ISL steals them: Churchill

06 Jul 2019 02:54 PM

The Indian Super league has just stolen players from I-league for entertainment and making money. I-league has produced players, not ISL. This is what heavyweight president of Churchill Brothers Churchill Alemao says over the ISL and I-league war. Churchill stressed that I-league needs to be more prestigious and top national league of the nation.

With the support of six other I-league teams of the nation, Churchill Brothers have also accepted the status quo of continuing I-league and ISL for another 3 years but rejected the proposal to give ISL the national prestigious status over I-league.

Churchill has strongly objected saying I-league is one of the oldest league and the debutant ISL is just focusing on entertainment and business not producing player.
