Reduce fees for documents: Tribal leaders

The tribal leaders of south Goa have urged the government to rethink the steep hike in fees for issuing land record documents



The tribal leaders have decided to submit a memorandum to the  Revenue Minister,  Chief  Secretary and the Revenue Secretary asking them to rethink the newly amended  Goa, Daman and Diu land revenue rules (inspection, serach, supply of copies and land records, Rules of 1969. 

  According to the tribal leaders,   the government has hiked the fees steeply for issuing documents.

John criticized the 40 MLAs for not considering the difficulties faced by common man.

He said they should have raised some objections to the amendments.
