One more year to register for Alvaro land: Kaunte

The Revenue minister Rohan Kaunte said that one more year would be given to people to register under the Alvaro land issue.
The last date for registration to get the land in their names was on Friday November the 9th.
Alvara land is a burning issue since liberation.
After coming to power the Manohar Parrikar government decided to regularise Alvara land.
However, as the deadlines loomed most people said that they needed more time to get themselves registered.
Kaunte said that as of now around 200 people had applied.
Rohan asked people not to fall prey to rumours and attempts to confuse people.
Earlier in the day, the Health Minister and Valpoi MLA Vishwajit Rane had met the minister to ask for an extension and to come and meet the people of Valpoi.
Rohan said that he would visit Valpoi by end of November.
