If government runs mining industry through a corporation, no Goan will have to pay any tax to run the administration. This is the opinion expressed by Lokmat Resident Editor Raju Nayak. And Prashant Naik, businessman and social activist, has criticized tradition Halldi Kukum as discriminatory.

It was a marathon interview of both Raju Nayak and Prashant Naik held at the 25th Goa Yuva Mahotsav in Madgao recently by Hrishikesh Kadam and Purushottam Verlekar.

While speaking about his media campaign against illegal mining, Raju Naik said government should set up a mining corporation and give it in the hands of experts.

And don’t include any MLA from the mining area.

During discussion, Prashant Naik came down heavily on the tradition of Halldi Kukum among married Hindu women.

According to him, it’s discriminatory and a regressive celebration. Watch his views.
