Kabrastan in Margao by next Republic Day: Vijai

This is a new assurance given by Goa Forward minister Vijai Sardesai on this Republic Day.

He also said the work would begin before Election Code of Conduct comes into force. But he has refused to disclose the site.

The earlier proposal of Kabrastan at Sonsodo was shelved due to strong opposition from the locals.

At the Republic Day function in Madgao on Saturday, Vijai announced that the GSDIC would build a new Kabrastan by spending almost 17 crore rupees. And it would be situated in the Muslim locality.
