Goa celebrates 34th Statehood Day

Goa celebrated its 34th Statehood Day on Saturday. President Ramnath Covind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have sent messages to Goans.

Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant too has greeted fellow Goans on this occasion.

Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi and Goa Congress president Girish Chodankar too have greeted Goans on this day.

Goa became a full-fledged state of the Indian Union on 30^th May 1987 when Rajiv Gandhi was the prime minister.
