Fish vendors demand space in new Vasco market

Fish vendors selling fish on a footpath in Vasco market are on the warpath.

They are demanding a place in the new market complex.

Mormugao municipality has agreed in principle to provide them alternate place.

On Tuesday, Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida and municipal chief officer Agnelo Fernandes met these fish vendors.

A new market complex is coming up adjacent to the existing market in Vasco.

Vendors said that they are not opposition the market complex. In fact they want a space in this new market complex.

Chief Officer Agnelo Fernandes has also agreed to make temporary arrangement of these fish vendors, who presently sit on a footpath to sell the fish.
