Depression Bay of Bengal not to affect state; but max temp drops

A well marked low pressure area has been formed South Andaman Sea and adjoining areas of Southeast Bay of Bengal & Equatorial Indian Ocean.



It is very likely to concentrate into a depression during next 36 hours and could intensify further.


However, Goa won't be affected by this weather system. Weather will also remain dry for next five days.


IMD said there was appreciable fall in maximum temperature over Goa.


Maximum temperatures were below normal in the state. There was no large change in minimum temperature and it was normal.


Highest maximum temperature of 31.3°C and the lowest minimum temperature of 22.0°C was recorded at Mormugao.


Sky will remain partly cloudy in Goa with maximum temperature prevailing 33°C and minimum temperature prevailing 23 to 22°C.
