Barge owners hope for quick resumption of mining activity

The Goa Barge Owners Association on Wednesday said that it hoped that mining activity start as early possible once again



President Raymond D’ Sa said that GBOA was hopeful that mining activity in the state would resume especially like the after CM Manohar Parrikar letter to the had written to Union Mines Minister on the issue.

D’ Sa also said that members were hoping for a reply from the state government if they should go ahead with repairs of barges expecting a good season ahead with mining resumption.

The Association held a pooja to mark the opening of Aguada Sand Bars and the opening of the navigational channel of Panjim port on Wednesday afternoon.

This is an annual function organised by GBOA every year and this year the chief guest was the GCCI President, Sandeep Bhandare.
