Coal pollution is a big issue for Vascoites. There is a running war between residents and government on the issue.

The government represented by the Goa State Pollution Control Board is supposed to be monitoring pollution levels. It says it is. But residents differ. And say pollution is going on unchecked. Here is the story.

Jayesh Shetgaokar, an activist, said that they had visited some 20 houses and checked out the coal situation. Watch.

Residents under an umbrella of NGOs once again approached the GSPCB with their complaints. They also submitted samples to the board.
