Sri Lanka terror attack tightens security around Goa churches

While the whole world was celebrating Easter on Saturday, terrorist carried out suicide attacks with bomb blasts in three churches and four five starred hotels in Sri Lanka.



Goa government has taken a serious notice of this attack and tightened the security around Goan Churches.


Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant has also strongly condemned the terror attack.


People woke up to the shocking news on the Easter day after terrorists carried out chain attacks in Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka.


Eight bomb blasts were carried out in three churches and four five star hotels.


More than 158 people died in the attack including 35 foreigners. More than 400 people were injured.


The incident took place at 8.30 on Sunday morning.


Goa Government immediately took cognizance of this attack.


Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawat said he immediately contacted DGP and ordered him to tighten the security at main churches of Goa.


He also met Goa Archbishop in the evening.
