Goa 365 team travelled all the way through the jungles of Rivem in Sattari on Tuesday and spoke to the affected families of dhangars.
Only the women and children are left behind. Their main bread earners are in the police lock up.
One of the young girl could not even answer her preliminary exam of Standard XIIth. No child is going to school.
They are furious that no forest official bothered to take cognizance of their repeated complaints of tigers killing their cattle since last month.
It is only after the media and some alert locals threw light on the plight of the Dhangars living in the Mhadei Wild Life Sanctuary, government officials have started visiting these three houses.
On Tuesday, deputy collector of Sattari Mangaldas Gaonkar came with a team of officials of education and civil supplies as well as a doctor.
The incident has also brought the whole Dhangar community of Goa together. They want in-depth investigation. Even why the tiger family had to be poisoned and killed.
