Around 250 tribal voters of Marle-Tirval in Canacona have decided to boycott all the elections in future including the forthcoming Lok Sabha election.

In spite of all the assurances by MLAs of all the parties, they are still waiting for a proper road to the village and regular power supply.

Marle-Tirval is a locality in Khotigao sanctuary falling in Paingin village.

It was in dark without electricity till recently.

They were promised underground cabling because overground cables keep getting cut due to forest.

But forest department has not allowed underground cabling as well as a new bridge.

Old bridge may collapse any moment. And the road is a nightmare for the students as well as villagers, especially in monsoon.

It’s hardly three kilometres of road they are crying for since Liberation of Goa in 1961.
