PM Modi puts first brick to start off Ram Mandir construction

The construction of Shree Ram Mandir in Ayodhya officially began after the Prime Minister Narendra Modi took part in the bhoomi pujan on Wednesday. He also laid a silver brick to kick-off its construction.



PM Modi began his day by first offering prayers at the Hanumangarhi temple in Ayodhya.


He then went to Ramjanmabhoomi or the birthplace of Lord Ram to pray at the shrine to Ram Lalla, the infant Lord Ram.


Before proceeding to the site of the main Bhoomi Pujan he planted a Parijat flower tree in the area.


UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityananth, UP governor Anandi Ben Patel and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat were present during ceremony among 100 sages and saints.


The Shree Ram temples in Goa celebrated Deepostav as the Bhoomi Pujan was being performed at site of the Ram Mandir.


Transport Minister Mauvin Godhino was seen performing arti of Lord Ram in Dabolim.
