Will the cabinet reshuffle salvage the Manohar Parrikar government or drown it? Because dropping Francis D’Souza has created a strong backlash in Bardez taluka, especially in Mapusa.

And in the deep South, coalition supporter and independent MLA Prasad Gaonkar has resigned from the post of a chairman of a corporation.

He has accused the ruling politicians of only using Sanguem and depriving its MLAs of ministry.

In order to overcome the criticism of collapsed administration due to ailing ministers, CM Parrikar, who is also in the hospital, dropped his two ministers, who are in the hospitals.

And inducted Milind Naik and Nilesh Cabral, both from the South. This has perhaps enraged the sole independent MLA Prasad Gaonkar, who is not a minister unlike other two independents.

He has announced his resignation on Tuesday as the chairman of Forest Development Corporation. Watch what he says.

Mapusa MLA Francis D’ Souza was the senior most in the BJP rank and was also a deputy chief minister earlier. But now he has been dropped. He had reacted sharply from the hospital bed in the USA.

He termed Parrikar’s action as a reward to his integrity with the party for the last 20 years. And now his son Joshua D’ Souza, who is also the councillor, has come out openly.

Some of his councillor colleagues are also upset with the action of their Mapshekar chief minister Manohar Parrikar.
