MGP getting set to fight Shiroda bye elections: Deepak

18 Dec 2018 07:41 PM

We feel that in the present circumstance it is not possible to get justice in the courts. But we will be taking this to the people's court.

This was what the MGP president Deepak Dhavalikar had to say in reaction to the court dismission the MGP petition on defection.

The High Court on Monday had dismissed the petition filed by the MGP  seeking disqualification of the two former MLAs  Subhash Shirodkar and Dayanand Sopte.

It has also directed the MGP to pay Rs 1 lakh for abusing the process of the court through the petition.

Deepak also spoke on the mining issue, there alleged 'deadline' to the government and MGP plans for keeping a candidate for the bye elections in Shiroda.
