Mandrem Paryatan Mahotsav turns into political battle

Mandrem Paryatan Mahotsav has run into a political battle.

Goa Tourism Development Corporation is holding this three-day festival in Mandrem from Friday.

But his political rival Jeet Arolkar has opposed this festival.

Sopte has also assured basic infrastructure at all the four famous beaches of Morji, Mandrem, Harmal and Keri.

But Jeet Arolkar’s Udargat Mandrem claims that such festivals won’t help when tourists are not provided basic facilities.

Meanwhile, fifth international kite festival has also started in Mandrem from Thursday.

This two-day international event was organized by GTDC at Miramar last year.

This year Sopte has shifted it to Mandrem.
