Drugs and their existence in the state is an issue that just refuses to die down. Earlier chief ministers and even now always made public announcements that Goa was in no way a hub of the drug racket.

However, now with the recent arrests in Mumbai and Delhi the role of Goa as a hub has been splashed all over the country.

Now politicians are up in arms over the issue.

Marcaim MLA Sudin Dhavlikar urged Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to probe drugs peddling, rave parties and unearth the truth behind these activities taking place in Goa.

Sudin  said recently the chief minister had given an interview wherein he assured to totally curb the menace of goondagiri and drugs in Goa.

Sudin said the chief minister should walk the talk by conducting inquiry and expose the    role of those behind drugs, rave parties and goondagiri.

The NCB has found links that Goa is a hub. NCB has already raided a restaurant owned by Calangute MLA's strongman in Porbavaddo-Calangute.

Owner's wife is also a Calangute panch. NCB during its raid arrested Fayaz Ahmed who is reportedly the driver of restaurant owner.

His arrest led NCB seize 3.5 kgs of curated marijuana in Delhi.
