Govt should appeal against Mhadei tribunal verdict: Cong

The Congress Party in Goa feels that Goa government has failed to protect the interests of Goa in the Mhadei water dispute case. The Congress party has demanded that the state government should challenge the award in Supreme Court.

Mhadei Water Disputes Tribunal gave its verdict on the 14^th of August.

Congress spokesperson Yatish Naik said Water Resources Minister Vinod Palyekar had asserted earlier that Goa will not yield a drop of water to Karnataka but now Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar and Palyekar have claimed the verdict as the victory for Goa.
