Congress wants reservation for Niz-Goemkars

Congress had demanded reservations for Niz-Goemkars in jobs and college admission on the lines of those for Marathas in Maharashtra.
People of Goan descent should be given priority for government jobs and college admissions, it demanded alleging that people not of Goan origin with 15 years domicile certificate get government jobs.
Congress spokesperson Agnelo Fernandes said 15 years domicile is destroying Goan and Goaness.
When a Goan is working abroad with his children and his children come to Goa they don't get 15 years domicile.
As a result ethnic Goans are deprived from government jobs and college admissions.
