Cong doesn’t win, but BJP loses, trust vote in Karnataka tomorrow

The Congress could not get Karnataka Governor’s order to install a BJP chief minister reversed.

But the Supreme Court has reversed Governor’s decision to give 15 days to prove Yeddyurappa’s majority in the House.

It’s now on Saturday evening. That too without secret ballot. The Congress calls it their victory. The BJP claims their prayers have been rejected.

The whole battle was because the BJP CM was sworn in only because it is the single largest with 104 MLAs but not having majority of 112.

And the Congress-JDS alliance was not invited to form the government in spite of having 116 MLAs.

The political battle went to the Supreme Court and the apex court gave its verdict. No time for the BJP to win over eight more MLAs on their side.

This verdict is interpreted by both the parties as per their convenience. Listen to their public arguments.
