Cong attacks govt on Covid protocol implementation, enforcement as cases rise

The Congress attacked the BJP for what it alluded to a two-faced policy on fighting Covid. They alleged that on one hand they were issuing orders to not have religious functions and cracking down on gatherings. But on the other hand it was allowing huge gatherings. Major election type rallies with the chief minister himself being an important part of them.

The congress said that the government had issues orders, SOPs and imposed section 144. However, what example was being set by the top political leadership was just the opposite even as the cases are rising. There have been complaints that there are no covid protocols being followed n the state. And enforcement was being done selectively.

The Chief Minister was present for GTDC chairman and Mandrem MLAs birthday celebration. Listen to what the Congress has to say on this.

The turnout was huge and it looked as it was an elections rally, on a massive scale. Look at the visuals and listen to what the chief minister has to say.
