Goa Mahila Congress is defiant in the face of a criminal case filed against them by the government.

The case is filed for agitating near the legislative assembly complex last year in November 2017 over regularisation of para teachers.

Judicial Magistrate First Class Mapusa has summoned the Mahila Congress President Pratima Coutinho and three para teachers namely Smitha Dessai, Reshma Prabhu and Trupti Tilve for a hearing on the 3rd of July.

Goa Pradesh Mahila Congress members along with para teachers who are fighting for regularizing their services had agitated near the legislative assembly.

The Chief Minister had promised the para-teachers to regularize their services after the assembly elections but the promise was not kept.
