Campaigning goes full swing as last date for polls & nominations near

Canvassing IS going in full swing as last date for nominations and date of polls near. The candidates of all political parties expect BJP are finalized. Tuesday, saw the most nominations filed as last date to file nominationS is 28 January and withdrawals is 31st January.

Mandrem BJP candidate Dayanand Sopte kicked off his campaign after seeking the blessings of Godess Bhagavati. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant also accompanied Sopte. After kicking off his campaign, Sopte filed his nomination. The Chief Minister said that people from Mandrem will not only elect MLA but also the minister.

Nominations were filed from the candidates of other parties too. Ponda Congress candidate Rajesh Vernekar and AAP Priol Candidate Nonu Naik filed their nominations papers.
