506 candidates finalised for municipal polls, one nomination rejected

 While, 76 nominations were filed in Bicholim, 34 in Valpoi, 45 in Pernem, 67 in Cuncolim, 59 in Curchorem and 42 in Canacona were accepted.

Only, one nomination in Cuncolim was rejected.

At present 37 nominations have been filed for the Margao Municipal polls.

17 candidates from BJP panel have filed their nomination.

While, 4 from Goa Forward and one from NCP filed their nominations.

26 candidates filed 28 nominations for Mapusa municipal poll on Friday.

Till now, 30 candidates have filed 32 nominations.

Tomorrow is the final day of filing the nominations.

8 candidates from Mapshekarancho Ekvott who claim having support from Congress and like-minded parties filed their nominations.

Candidates from 9 wards backed by the BJP filed their nomination for Mormugao municipal polls.

45 nominations were filed for the Quepem municipal polls.

At present it is still unclear which candidate is backed by whom. All claim to be independent candidate.
