203 candidates to fight ZP elections

Big buzz has started in Goa with Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announcing the decision on ZP elections.



The ZP elections are very likely to held between 13 to 16 December and there are 203 candidates in fray. The elections are being fought on party basis.


ZP elections were postponed due to outbreak of covid-19 in India followed by nation wide lockdown.


The elections were kept on postponing due to rising coronavirus cases.


The opposition has demanded the safety of people for the elections and also the huge turnout.


Almost all the parties except Goa Forward have thrown their hat into the ZP ring.


Surprisingly, BJP has not fielded its candidates in most parts of Salcette.


The defected MLAs of Congress from South who joined BJP have not fielded their candidates in their respected constituencies.


One ZP member has already been elected unanimously.
