Regional parties won’t benefit from simultaneous polls: GF

Goa Forward has reiterated its stand to oppose simultaneous elections saying it will not benefit regional parties and also with polls together the local issues will be put on the back burner.

Now, remember this stand of the alliance partner is completely opposite from BJP’s views.

In fact, even President Kovind has also pitched for simultaneous elections.

Even in the view of President Kovind frequent polls impose a huge burden on human resources and impede development due to the promulgation of the model code of conduct.

But Vijai Sardesai’s Goa Forward think otherwise.

Party spokesperson Trajano D’Mello explained why Goa Forward is opposed to simultaneous polls, that is, parliamentary and assembly elections at the same time.
