Rebellion within Margao municipal corporation ranks?

Though Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai denies any such thing, a glaring absence of councilors during the Independence Day event at Margao gave fodder to rumour mills.

Sardesai has promised to resolve the differences if there are any with the Margao municipality chairperson Babita Prabhudesai.

On Monday these empty chairs forced the adjournment of the special meet called by Chairperson Dr. Babita Prabhudesai due to lack of quorum.

Two days later, as  Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai unfurled the flag, many of the councilors gave a miss to this important event.

According to rebelling councilors, they are upset over MMC giving out forms for the regularization of the houses for the assessment of the tax. 

They demand that the local MLAs authenticate the cases. Councillor  Jaffar Bhudani also said that there has to be an option for notarization.
