But Subhash claims there is nothing hanky panky in the land  acquisition.

The land was put for acquisition in 2011 and he got the award only after going to the court. He claims it’s his rightful money. 

The land was one lakh eighty for thousand sq mts and the total value was 70 crore rupees.

There were allegations that veteran Congress leader Subash Shirodkar had shifted to the BJP because of this land deal.

The former Congressman alleges that former MLA Mahdev Naik had acquired the land to pressurize him politically.

He was addressing media for the first time as a BJP man along with another former Congressman Dayanad Sopte, BJP state president Vinay Tendulkar and Power Minister Nilesh Cabral. 

Power Minister Nilesh Cabral reiterated the oft repeated BJP narrative that leadership was not an issue for the BJP as Manohar Parrikar was their leader .
