Goa government has finally and officially dropped 10 villages which were earlier included in the Greater Panaji PDA.

The town and country planning board has also decided to study the land conversions made under Regional Plan 2021.

And the Assembly session would decide on two other demands: amending the town and country planning act and whether to scrap the Regional Plan 2021.

The 10 villages officially dropped are from Bambolim and Kadamba plateau planning areas.

Panaji and Taleigao continue to be in the Greater Panaji PDA.

Town and Country Planning Minister Vijai Sardesai said the board had not taken these decisions because of the agitation started by Goencho Avaz and their rally at Lohia Maidan.

He claimed that Goa Forward walks the talk and meets the aspirations of the people.
