Goa gearing up for 2nd phase of civic polls

Goa is gearing up for the second phase for the polls to the five municipalties. Campaigns are going in full swing. Panels are slowly coming together and being declared; corner meets are happening.



 The five municipalities - Mapusa, Mormugao, Margao, Quepem and Sanguem will go for polls on 23rd April and counting will take place on 26th April.

 Looks like the BJP vs BJP is Mormugao is yet to be settle down despite BJP state chief Sadanand Shet Tanavde intervening and finally declaring that the controversy between three BJP MLAs – two of whom are ministers  - has been settled. Now, three time councillor and former Vasco BJP strongman Daji alias Krishna Salkar announcing a separate panel with 7 candidates for Mormugao municipal polls.

 Opposition leader Digambar Kamat has launched campaign for his Congress candidate Deepali Sawal for Margao municipal polls.
