Cong demands written commitment from MPT & Centre on coal expansion

The Congress on Friday demanded that the Union Ministry of Shipping and the MPT give in writing their commitment to not allowing the expansion of coal handling at the port.
Coal and its handling and related pollution has been an issue in the state. GSW consent to handle coal had been withdrawn. The company approached the High court and the hearing on the issue took place on Friday.
the Congress also accused the BJP parliamenterians of not saying a word on this issue in Parliament.
