140 names deleted from rolls; residents say authorities careless

Nearly, 140 persons living in the naval area at Varunapuri in Vasco will be not get to vote on Tuesday. The reason: their names have been deleted from the election rolls.

The Mamlatdar says that he has been informed by the BLO that they were not present at home when they had come for verification. But this allegation has been denied by them. Here's more.
Defense Naval civilian staff Umesh Sonurlekar said they are registered voters of ward no 18 in Vasco constituency. They had also voted during 2017 election but their names were deleted this year.
They allege that the BLO is not performing his duty and he has never visited naval civilian area nor send any notices to them. Watch
Vasco Mamletdar Satish Prabhu refuted the allegations. He said that they were not present in their houses during the BLO's visit.
