The House was paying homage to the man who ruled the House for 25 years as a firebrand politician: Manohar Parrikar. Tears were rolling down from every MLA’s eyes and Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant could not control his emotions. He literally broke down.

The special session began with a condolence motion moved by BJP MLA Rajesh Patnekar to pay homage to ex-CM Manohar Parrikar, ex-Deputy CM Francis D’Souza and ex-Deputy Speaker Vishnu Surya Wagh.

The House was seen full with emotions as all these three leaders were exceptionally intelligent and worked with other members in the House as their colleagues till yesterday.
