Sudin undergoes liver surgery in Mumbai

Maharashtrwadi Gomantak Party leader and PWD minister Sudin Dhavalikar is hospitalized in Mumbai and has undergone surgery.



He is the sixth MLA and fourth minister from this government, who has suffered an ailment.

His family members however claim that he is fit and would be back in Goa by the weekend.

The news started spreading on Tuesday morning that Sudin Dhavalikar has been admitted to a private hospital in Mumbai.

By afternoon, his brother Dr Sandeep Dhavalikar confirmed that the minister had undergone a surgery and is recovering well. He is in good health and in good hands.

He also requested people not to speculate and that he would be back in Goa in a few days.

                                                                                                                                                  Sudin’s younger brother and MGP President Deepak Dhavailkar told Goa365 that he was operated for a liver ailment and an engiography was conducted before that to ensure a safe surgery.

He also confirmed that Sudin had gone for his regular check up to Chennai, from where he was directed to go to Mumbai.

The surgery was reportedly conducted on Saturday.

Deepak also said all is fine and he would be back in the Assembly for the monsoon session, beginning from 19th of July.
