Goa’s NCP President Jose Philip D’Souza and other party leaders had recently said that NCP would tell Churchill to support the Congress if time comes to form an alternate government.

But Churchill has openly defied them. He says he won’t listen to them because they are not listening to him. Especially on the issue of dissolving the Assembly.

Churchill fully agrees that Congress should be given chance to form the government because it is the single largest party.

But he feels that this situation will arise only when Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar steps down. In the Assembly, Churchill has supported Parrikar government.
