Cong lists out series of corruption cases of BJP Govt in Panaji rally

For the first time since BJP government came to power in Goa, the opposition Congress held a huge rally in Panaji, listing out cases of corruption by the BJP-led coalition government.



 Calling it Jagor Against Corruption, Congress leaders said this anti-corruption campaign would be intensified further.

The delegation of few Congress leaders also marched to the Raj Bhavan before the rally, demanding probe in the mining lease renewals against Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar and ex-chief minister Laxmikant Parsekar.

The rally started from Campal culminated into a public meeting at Azad Maidan. All the Congress MLAs including former chief ministers spoke at the meeting.

Congress observer Dr Chellakumar also attended the rally besides youth and women leaders. 

Congress MLA’s met governor Mridula Sinha demanding that she issue directions to the Chief Secretary, Chief Vigilance Officer and DGP  to investigate the complaint against chief minister Manohar Parrikar and former chief minister Laxmikant Parsekar on the complaint filed by them on the alleged illegal renewal of mining leases.
