Nehru death anniversary celebrated

GPCC president Girish Chodankar said Jawaharlal Nehru had started some institution which were instrumental in taking the nation forward.



But he accused the BJP of trying to finish these institutions.


The death anniversary of first prime minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru was celebrated at Congress house in Panaji.


The former prime minister breathed his last on 27th May 1964. The dignitaries present spoke about Nehru's immense contribution to ensure democratic values to the nation and its progress.


Jawaharlal Nehru death anniversary was marked at Margao. Congress leader Eduardo Faleiro said there is need to take Congress forward with vigor.


Mapusa block Congress also observed death anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru. Local congress leaders paid tributes to Nehru.


South Goa MP Francis Sardinha was felicitated for winning South Goa seat. Spokesperson Yatish Naik said that no one is old in politics. New and experienced are the only two categories, he opined.
